PLEASE HELP me keep my car from going to the ***********
Please help me from having to bring my car to the dealership. Hi, I recently added my car to the new member section. I have a new to me 2015 F type R which is in great condition except for the sticky button issue. Since my dealer will not do anything about it, I have been replacing and/or cleaning buttons. I successfully replaced the steering wheel trim and left and right side button assemblies. I also recently picked up a complete shifter panel (less the shifter) with all non sticky buttons. I want to remove the old sticky shifter panel and replace it.However, I can not get the old panel and its "carrier" out of the car. I would expect that I could remove a few bolts, disconnect a few connectors, and lift the whole assembly out including the shifter, Then move the shifter to the new shifter panel and re assemble. I removed the bolts under the long trim pieces and the shifter panel assembly will rock back and forth but there is still something holding it in. It seems like its being held up on the end next to the cup holders. What am I missing????

I've got a 6MT so have a different panel, but my recollection is that it snaps in place all around. Since you have a spare, what can you see in the area that won't come loose?
EDIT: On further reflection, and my initial caffeine of the day, I never removed that part. I only removed the boot around the shift lever, which you don't have.
