Default Power socket in trunk

In my trunk there's what I had assumed was a standard 12v socket but on inspection it appears to be some odd type of connector:

Given where it is I'm assuming this is a hookup for a battery tender. The question I have is that what type of thing plugs directly into this socket? Is it some type of standard or is it for a particular charger?

Thanks!

Looks like the kit that Jag used to sell (don't know if they still do.) See the PDF attachment 'F Type - Battery Charging Kit.pdf' at the end of Graham's highly useful post...

Yes that looks exactly like what I have, thanks. There doesn't seem to be any mention of the actual charger part though even in that PDF? I read that the Jag charger is just a rebranded CTEK, I'm looking to find if there's something like that I can buy that has the correct connector on the end rather than clips to hook onto the battery terminals and I'm drawing blanks.

Anyone on here have the full Jag charging kit and can shed any light?

Thanks!

My guess the conditioner changed over time. The doc linked to dates 2013. The current Jag conditioner is indeed Ctek with a Jag logo, and uses a different kind of connection.
I do have the Ctek installed, which was about three times cheaper than the Jag one...

Connected via clips or a socket like mine?

The cynic in me guesses that the connector is different to stop us buying an off-the-shelf CTEK.

Via socket. I think I even have somwhere a Jag document - other from the one previously linked to - with the Ctek conditioner in.
I'll check later this eve...

OK cool. If anything shows up or anybody knows a conditioner I can buy which has the right connector for this socket that'd be great.

Thanks!

I don't know about the Jaguar version but off-the-shelf CTEKs usually have a line socket on the end of the lead from the charger into which you plug the "destination" lead of your choice, either with clips or a plug to fit into a permanent connector. I wonder if the Jaguar version has a single charger lead, or a special adapter lead that would connect to a normal CTEK? Anyone?

Ah. Then I guess also anyone who can post a picture or otherwise identify the plug that goes into the socket would be great. I can always cut and solder up a new destination lead if I can identify and obtain a connector of the right type.

Thanks

Could it be a "Powerlet" socket? That is what I have on my motorcycle. I use it with a Battery Tender as well as heated clothing. https://www.powerlet.com/product/pow...18-lengths/644

It does look like it might match, thank you. Does anyone here actually have one and can confirm?

Google for the below, and you'll find the re-branded Ctek conditioner from Jaguar.

I used a different Ctek socket which has leds to indicate the battery status, in combination with a more advanced Ctek conditioner.

What we need is a picture with the cap open - I guess it uses the standard CTEK two pin connector in there, not the Jaguar one.

Yep, nothing fancy, just the regular Ctek two-pin connector. Got the conditioner, a panel mount socket, and an extension cord in between the two.

Yes, I had the jaguar battery tender kit installed and was then surprised to find it used the European BMW/motorcycle style plug. Basically its a smaller diameter version of 12v lighter/accessory plug.

I don’t know if it is to prevent using the ctek, or just to prevent using other accessories, refrig, lighter, etc but it can be adapted with something like this:
