Have to agree with you on this Burt, besides having the cool factor that enhances the cars great looks, the convenience of the no hands is a feature I use all the time. I often travel with another person to presentations, meetings, etc. I can or they can remote open the trunk with projectors, bags, etc in both hands with out banging or having that stuff touch the back of the car. Remote close even better when you drop someone off, they can get out, grab their things without having to touch your car or fumble with closing the trunk and scratching your paint. Did I say it was cool?

Tom Hiddleston "Art of Villany" sold me on the powered tail gate. Totally cool to remote open the back as you approach with the leather valise full of cash and then close it again.
Don't understand the point of the engine cover in stock or carbon fiber: why does anyone have to open the bonnet on these cars? Pointless...

Rather than argue with a purist, especially a respected one, it's a shame this car can't be ordered in a more true sports car version. When car mfrs do allow for this, they want a bloody fortune. I'd need to get rid of many of my cars features to get closer to being a true sports car. That option left the building with most manufacturers wanting to sell to a broader audience and then sticking it to the enthusiastic few true sports car afficiando's with special models. I hope you can get you SVR the way you want it, without selling your house. While I would like to have a car closer to true sports car at times (lighter particularly), I'm the broader audience that's screwing up the works.
