Try the ubiquitous battery reset!
I know that the last time I disconnected the battery the powered tailgate didn't work even after reconnecting the battery and I had to reset the tailgate by manually lifting it to the desired position (in my case fully open) and manually closing it all the way, then it worked perfectly.

1. Open with button.
2. Push into full up position after mechanism stops moving.
3. Then gently pull down until hatch is fully closed.
4. That will reprogram if you have a programming issue.
If that doesn't work the latch needs to be adjusted.

Thanks but no joy.
I can’t figure out what role the two outer things do. The ones you can screw on and out.
Cant see how to adjust the metal central latch on the tailgate. One nut appears to do nothing while the other looks like it will move the rear.
Was hoping someone knew the trick.
Dealer I guess.

My hatch/spoiler bottom edge originally didn't sit straight, one side was lower than the other by about 2 mm (very very common on F-Types).
So I thought that by screwing the bumper out on that side it would line up better, but it made no difference at all. I screwed the screwy thing almost all the way out, just before it threatened to fall right out (it gets very wobbly at that point!) but it still made no difference to the closed height/level.
If you look at the plastic trim at the back of the boot/trunk that the hatch closes onto you will see a round black rubber stopper on each side, about 2 cm in diameter. These are what the screwy things bump up against, and I fixed the uneven hatch by pulling the low side one out (comes out easily with a trim removal tool) and sticking some Velcro on the underside, about four pieces, then putting it back in place. Every few months I renew that Velcro as it gradually crushes too flat/thin with use.
Maybe just maybe if you raise those stoppers on both sides your final hatch close might work again? But of course that could also stuff up the alignment!
