Default Press and Media mentions of the F-Type

I keep posting one offs, when my smart-alecky google now or some other algorithm offers up an F-Type helping of media mentions.... so I am just going to start a thread where random links about our car will be dropped, and I stop polluting the thread page. However, the supercharged conversation in the last one was a delight.... so enjoy what some deem a future classic car:

This may be a retread of a jalop link earlier this year, but not sure.

Could you have started with something else. Really a Toyota Tundra TRD Pro as a future classic car? Its not even a car. The article had no credibility after that. Other than the F-Type the other cars were of less than no interest with the possible exception of that oddity from ALFA. Jalopnik sometimes has a good piece of gossip, but as a site it is pitched to a tenth grade level. Which is an example of a left handed complement, since most automotive sites (e.g. Left Lane News) don't reach out of middle school.

Yeah... if you've ever been behind a Tesla X, you would agree that, will not be a classic. Not a strong list, but a big rag. It's no Keith Martin mag! lol

I know I am getting nostalgic in my old age. But R&T under the Bonds was an absolutely superb magazine. Henry N Manney lll would have fit in at the New Yorker. Now we have everyone and their pet dog doing automobile videos.

Alfa article mentions F-Type as competition...
https://carbuzz.com/news/alfa-romeo-6c-sports-coupe-could-crush-the-jaguar-f-type

Also saw a ridiculously macabre arthouse film called "Neon Demon" that I liked, but probably couldn't recommend. But two models are featured prominently in an R about 2/3rds of the way through. Short but strong cameo for the car.

Competition improves the breed. I hope ALFA does go forward and expand its line up. A storied marque if there ever was one. "Pretty little ALFA" was a standard expression at one time. I am not sure I am brave enough to buy one right away, but I'm game to look.

Agreed, ALFA has lost none of the unattractiveness. The first generation Miata was a really pretty copy of the Elan, but they have retrogressed since then. I would still like to have a gen one, or better yet a real Elan.

BTW, that "internet movie car database" is a lovely rabbit hole.

This squished F-Type (due to automated parking lift), however, is not:

Not F-Type: The movie "The Hitman's Bodyguard" with Sam Jackson and Ryan Reynolds prominently features Jaguar as a brand and aspirational goal. No F-Types, but a Jaguar XF and lots of talk about Jag.

Not F-Type... D-Type:

WHOOPSIE..... Not F-Type, but related.... car sounds are killing us.

Not F-Type, but horrendous:
