Prices on 2016s

I think 20% is a minimum, I'd push for more. Recognize many 16s will have likely been purchased by the dealer and the warranty may have started. Ask that question, even if the car has minimal miles. Mine had 54 miles and had that status. If this the case, you may also find a dealer that will certify the car to 6 years for an xtra $1500 or so. Should be some good deals to be had. Wouldn't be afraid to shop out of state as shipping is not as much as you may think. It's always nice to have a good relationship with the local dealer if you can. Rs will have higher discount I expect. Happy shopping.

PIP or dealer demo vehicles have varying degrees of "loss" built into the electronic invoice on their IT system. I was looking at one that had over 10K in loss built in for 3,700 miles. I had a dealer initially offer me a loaded R (without ceramic brakes or black package) for $85,283 that had 2,600 miles on it. I bet I could have gotten a better deal but I wasn't interested in one without the black package. They were going to throw in the extended warranty too. Ask for the extended warranty on these vehicles because the warranty starts at the in-service date. Most dealers were willing to throw that in. These demo vehicles also qualify for the 2016 "Jump Into Jaguar" 8K rebate in the US. That is how some are getting over 20K off invoice.
I ended up buying new (no dealer miles) to get the color/options I wanted. The sticker on my new 2016 R was $108,893 (invoice was $102,869.72) and the final price was $90,873 and they threw in LoJack and lifetime service pickup/delivery and loaner drop-off for free. You pay tax on the "Jump into Jaguar" 8K incentive.

I always run out of miles long before the time frame. With most fun-to-drive cars, it's far too easy to put on more than 10k miles per year.

It's been tough trying to price out/acquire the F-Type R.
I've recently been converted from buying a new M4 with competition pack at invoice price, to a lightly used or new AWD F Type R.
Choice was incredibly simple after driving each car for about 3hrs total. Not even comparable.
Problem is, when it comes to pricing - and I'm in FL - so you know all the dealerships are price gougers, I'm at a loss.
F Type R friends - please hook us up with your go to up north dealers that want to sell these cars to the internet savvy individual's who do not play the rip-off game.
They will become the first bulk F Type R dealership.
Time areeeee-aaaa-changinnnnnn... For Jaguar.
F-Type R, what a beast!

It's a numbers game. There are a hundred times more car enthusiasts out there than similar folks with Jags. (Also substantially more BMW dealers out there to cross-shop).

I really wish there was 1/100th of the posting volume going on here that they have at the bimmerpost/M forums...

Try Tampa. I was going to by a V6s from them before getting my V8 locally. They had the best advertised deal I saw last year when I was shopping

$18K off on this one: Ken Garff Jaguar | New & Used Inventory | SLC Ogden Provo Utah
They have more listed at $8K off and I'm sure you can get another $2K-$3K off with minimal negotiation.
You can additionally use $2500 off for JCNA membership.
Let me know if you are seriously interested and I can put in a word with the sales rep there.

When I was shopping I spoke to the dealer in Tampa several times. They seemed to be very aggressive. I think the warranty had started on many of their cars, but it's worth checking out. In comparing different deals, if the car was not a VIP with warranty started, I couldn't get the largest discount. Their was Also a Tennessee dealer who made an aggressive offer once they understood I was had been offered an aggressive deal elsewhere. Both Tampa and Tennesee were willing to arrange shipping.

Thanks for the responses all - and sorry to hijack the thread...
Maybe I'll make a new thread if my posts here get enough interest as I'm now agressively shopping an F-Type R AWD...
I decided a lease will be the best way to go at the moment.
Can anyone chime in with lease prices on the 2016 AWD or 2017?
I'll be completely new to the lease game here... I've always bought my cars, but CPA advised today that I lease this one and continue to build my "capital". heh.
Anyways, off to Jaguar dealership now to see what kind of "shining offer" I will receive from the South Florida price gougers this time around.
Will be my second time at this dealership. I'll post my results and maybe reveal the dealer via PM if I can score something halfway reasonable and refer anyone interested.
I informed them previously I buy all my German cars at invoice, and have them shipped with no more than ship-cost + $300 tag/plate fee... They were quite astonished to even hear this last time I was in... I ended up educating the new sales manager on the world of BMW, Mercedes, and Audi, - and the SW FL purchase versus Out-of-State car purchase, etc., etc.
The weren't just entertaining me, they were genuinely intrigued.
They are simply used to selling near MSRP to silly old folks and have not had anyone remotely my age looking at an F-Type R.
My guess is I will have to go out of the state of FL to actually find a "deal".
Will update.
