No, I've tried it with the seat down & back too. And, a few positions in between.
IMO the higher seat allows a more graceful entry. I can better control my descent.
I mean, really, it's an F-Type, its not really THAT high all things considered.
I joined a gym once. Then, I discovered I actually had to GO there. 
(At least, I wasn't teased about the erection comment.)

As for entering and exiting, I ease in sideways while grabbing the steering wheel and swivel lightly in.
