No, I've tried it with the seat down & back too. And, a few positions in between.
IMO the higher seat allows a more graceful entry. I can better control my descent.
I mean, really, it's an F-Type, its not really THAT high all things considered.

I tried the higher seat position, but would keep banging my head on the roof. So not so graceful for me.
