Default Thrashing the F-Type S Coupe Around Willow- Proud!

Took my recently acquired F-Type S coupe along with my 911 out to Willow Springs international raceway yesterday. After getting more comfortable with the car, I thrashed the car around for about 15 laps in 100 degree weather in the middle of the desert on the Big Willow track.

- The 991 911 with 5k miles was being run as well by me and after a few laps, to my surprise was making unusual noises and squeaks, albeit running fine.
- The F-Type stayed cool, calm, and collected. No sign of overheating, no warning messages on dash to calm down, none of it. I was able to hit nearly 150 on the long straight multiple times in a row. I didn't feel any dip in braking performance (I do have super perf. Braking package) and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Fastest Laps
F-Type was a 1:43.1
911 Carerra at 1:43.9

I would have ever expected the Jag to outclass the 911, and it did! The sound thrilled spectators and everyone seemed to love the car. Drove it 150 miles back home to Woodland hills, washed her and no sweat.
WHAT A CAR!!
Porsche has been doing this for what seems like forever, and Jaguar, who 5 years ago or was given away for free as a company, put out a competitive car! That runs and lasts on track.

I'll post some pictures, and yes, I understand I am young. 18 before you ask, however thanks to some lucky opportunities and starting an auto brokerage, I now have the opportunity to enjoy!

Yep. We were told there is greater accuracy and reliability if they are outside the cars, so we zip tied them to the front grilles, the nerd in me was annoyed by the 3% block in air flow lol.

Thanks, I'll surely be around for a while , the brand's direction gave me confidence to throw a good sum of money at their share last week. Expecting a 100% increase in Tata share price by 2018, putting them at 60 a share by then. Loving the community and the knowledge gained by being on here.

I'm assuming you were just out there this past weekend? I heard there was a BRZ/FRS crash out there.

It seems you've discovered the truth behind a recent road test of the 991 GT3RS: "Kills bugs faster..."

LOL! That's surely a much easier way to quantify it's speed, rather than having to calculate how many G's it pulls.

Nothing on Big Willow that I know of, that might of been Streets of Willow.

Beautiful lookin' coupe. Several of us do track events with SoCal Audi club and Hooked on Driving, three or four times per year (we're all valley boys as well). I think the next event is up at Sonoma raceway but we've done many events at Buttonwillow (an hour and a quarter from the Valley), Spring Mountain, etc. You should join us sometime.
