Congrats!! Wish you many miles and years of driving happiness!!! The wait is torcher, but so worth it when it arrives. Don't forget to post pics in the sticky thread for pics. Enjoy!!

No, but once you get the VIN from the dealer (keep bugging them), you can follow progress on the marine shipping site. You can find instructions on a tracking thread from early last year.

I don't think the marine shipping site will do him much good. ;-)

Yes...marine shipping. Trucking companies can't navigate the high seas.

Was pulling your leg because you still haven't apparently noticed his delivery will only require a very short drive from Castle Bromwich.

LOL. My wife insisted on it. Said it made here feel safer. Small price to pay for safety was the.....hmmmm....suggestion I made.

Just been in touch with the dealer asking for an update
He's told me the build slot has been put back 4 weeks !!!!!
Is this normal or would it be reasonable to kick up a fuss and tell them to get it back on track delivered for its original date given

Since it's a new model just being released, it may not be an issue of ordering priority, but rather one of parts availability. Ask the dealer for a loaner F-Type (fat chance, but worth asking).

just had the following statement back from the dealer...

I have just received a call from Sarah Evans at Jaguar Order Control who has assured me that your car has been put on the priority list.

She will give me updates on the build progress.

Your car is going to be one of the 1st 17Model Years to be built (which is always nice). There don’t seem to be any tangible changes but it's always nice to have the latest model.

If you are longing for the sound of that V6 and you have some spare time, give me a bell and we can lend you our demo.

kind Regards

Not a lot of point really ..... Currently driving a 370z - although I have recently taken off my Berks SS system and put the oem one back on ...... Considerably quieter now
Just gonna have to suck it up and wait

Seems odd though that you guys can get one quicker than if you're in the uk !!!!

ok - now heading into week 11 from order date and still no sign of it - is this normal ?

How long does it take on average in the UK and how long do you guys usually have to wait ? (considering it has to cross the pond to get you too)

Well... I was given a build date by my dealership. They phoned me the week before to report that the car had just been delivered.

So, fairly random...😎
