Other than the fact that it's never made me "angry" or "want to strangle somebody," he pretty much nailed it.

My wife took my car a few weeks ago when she was having a bad day...

...15 minutes later I get a text message saying, 'now I know why you go for a drive when you're ticked off, going fast made me feel better'.

Ditto, mine is scared of it, even though I've encouraged her to take it on many occasions.

I'm seeing a trend here; add me - my wife - to the list (and add several friends as well). I remind them all that "it's just a car". In other words, if something [presumably bad] happens, it happens.

P.S. I recall watching that video and a few of his remarks didn't sit all that well with me, even though I get the gist of what he was eluding to. Let's just say his review was among my least favorite...

There is nothing sexier than a woman behind the wheel of a nice car!

I agree! My wife tells me she would look marvelous driving mine. I'm sure she'll get to drive it too.

Unbelievably, my wife hates my F type R because of the small sun visors and the loud exhaust. She has never driven it, and doesn't really like riding in it.

Well I have too and they just don't get it. This car is the funniest car I've ever owned. I've owned a corvette C6 a caddy CTS V and my Jag is far superior as far as quickness, speed and it's just fun!!!! Gals, don't get it, they just don't.

I think you need to say that some gals don't get it as I am a "gal" and I have an R because "I get it".

I think I am a little of both - a girly girl and a car girl but more car girl.

I just got back from spending the day at the Roar at the 24 in the rain and the mud and happy as a clam. It is testing for the 24 Hours at Daytona which runs in 2 weeks.

Lovemonet,

I think you are a rather rare combination, but a pleasant one to run across. I wish there were more of you.

I think it's the "noise and drama" of the F-Type that scares my wife. She certainly loves nice cars, and in fact, just purchased a new-generation 2015 MB C-Class yesterday. It's an impressive and beautiful car, which is perfect for it's intended purpose, but quite a bit more understated and "comfortable." That's her speed--sporty, relatively small, and with all the creature comforts, but not over the top in terms of power which see has no desire to use.

I invited my wife to come along to an Audi track day a few years ago. She loved it and never turned one down after that. One time she said, "Yeah, but I'll be the only girl there". Nevertheless, she did come along again (and loved it), but as per her prediction, she was the only girl there, which she duly pointed out. To which I replied, "Yes, but you're the girl they wish they were married to!"
