Default Question on oil filter wrench

I am ordering everything to do the first oil change on the Jaguar in a few months. I ordered this oil filter wrench off Amazon-

Amazon Amazon

There are houses around the top of the oil filter housing that prevent this from fitting. Should I be looking for a different style filter wrench or do the hoses move out of the way? I didn't mess with it much but appeared the hoses were secured with little wiggle room.

Good question...I have often wondered about the fact that these hoses seem to interfere with removal and refitting of the filter. So far I have not been changing my own oil but I'd like to hear from those who do about their procedure with regard to the hoses.

2016 V6S. No problems with hoses for me. I think I redirected around them but it was so trivial I don’t remember the details. I used can extension for the filter wrench to give a bit more space.

You should be able to move the hoses slightly as I was able to fit my similar style wrench on it.

Same here, a piece of cake to move the hose(s) out of the way.
Only one such hose on my car and it has a fair bit of play so very easy to pull it away just a little from the filter housing and slip the removal tool on.
