Default Quick question

seeing as the park button is on the top of the shifter, and I tend to like to rest my hand on it...

what would happen if I’m going 50, or 100 and I press it? Would it go to Park?

It won't, but why do you leave your hand on it!Aren't you suppose to keep your two hands on the wheel, that's the first thing they teach us in "driving school"!!!

I won't be the king's fool, but being polite I'll try my best to answer you.Inside a car there is only one wheel and if I remember my stay in the USA it is called a "steering wheel" but that was back in 64,I don't know what you guys call it now!!!

Robin Williams always said that anyone who claimed to remember the '60's wasn't really there!

I wouldn't rest my hand there because if you accidentally push the shifter forward in Drive, it will shift into Neutral without you pushing the trigger. At speed. I consider this to be a design flaw.
And never try to get road head for the same reason.

.....and you can't get it back into D without stepping on the brake. This not good while on the highway.

You just hold down the gear shift button and put it back into Drive- Can be done without braking

Yep, I tested this an hour ago, just before you posted, and that's how it works, no need to touch the brake.
But I also believe (but didn't test) that if your speed drops below 5 mph or thereabouts you do need to hit the brake pedal to shift from N to D.
