loved your video.
Obviously as an F Type R owner I may be biased:
Many possible variables including you being more familiar with the track and your cars handling limits.
Put the same skilled driver in your 380bhp F type S and time fastest lap, then with same driver and track and conditions repeat with 550bhp F type R.
I think we can all guess which is fastest and it's not going to be the car with 170bhp less (all other factors being equal)

I can't believe the driver in the 'R' has ever had a session with an instructor because it's pretty clear he hasn't a clue about apexes, turn ins, positioning, or smoothness. I can only imagine what a video of his hands on the steering wheel would look like, PANDEMONIUM! He really presented at least a nuisance if not a danger on the track to all other drivers.

There is no doubt that R should be faster than S and that S driver is better than R driver, but I had a chance to drive except my own S RWD (380 hp) also R RWD (490 hp) and R AWD (550 hp) on this track. On this particular track there are 2 straights where R can benefit from performance, but with S I always had higher speed at apex, because R is too heavy and the car is more prone to understeer.
This track is quite technical and I am sure that more fast track would change it.
I am thinking about doing a CRANK PULLEY + TUNE to get my car somewhere around 450BHP. It will be nicely balanced in terms of weigh and power ratio.
This video is just for fun I did not want to tell or suggest anything specific.

I think the now discontinued V8 S had 500bhp
Not arguing with you, and accept your video wasn't intended to make the point that V6S is faster around a track than V8 R

Not sure which country you're in, my understanding at least in UK market is F type R is 550bhp (550ps strictly) in both RWD and later AWD.

YES you are right it was old V8 S (495 PS).
Unfortunatelly JAGUAR doesn't sell V8 model with RWD anymore.

I think he is just new to driving or at least new to driving anything faster than a Toyota Corolla and someone told him he should take it to the track.
I have seen it a lot more in Motorcycle Riders. They are new on the bike and every muscle in their body is as tense as they can be.
When your whole body is tense you can not control anything. To me, being relaxed and comfortable with what you are doing is one of the most important aspects of control.

Thanks for the vid. Went down a youtube rabbit hole, as I often do and came up with this:
This guy's "job" is to "taxi" people around the Ring! Wow... He used an M3 before (saw a vid with him keeping up with a Cayman GT4 AND Aventador - with three other people in the car!)
But now he uses an SVR!
You can get a ride for 200 Euros

Me thinks, The Unhingd One never sleeps. (Says the one posting at 4:11 AM ET).
I'd rather have skills over brute force any day of the week. Of course there will be those desiring both. Perhaps like Bond, James Bond; half Monk (and not the Tony Shalhoub character either), half hit man.
Yeah, that's it.
