Default Radar Detector Installation

I am trying to hard wire my Valentine in the new F Type R.

There are 2 green unused connectors in the ceiling behind the overhead LEDs. Does anyone know what they are for? Can they be used to draw power? Are they switched on and off by the start/stop button?

Anyone has other thoughts about where to draw power for the detector?

Personally I would recommend you use the savvy. I use it in all three 3 cars with my V1 setups. Simple and effective.

I totally agree.
For the F type I use savvy and a short 90 degree connector so the plug doesn't stick out:

The v1 fits very nicely just above the rear view mirror on the right.
I have the remote display too, which I've mounted just above the instrument panel... It's perfect (IMHO haha).... Looks neat and sits perfectly in the drivers field of vision.
Will post pics later when I have time.

Better yet, Get the splitter with two ports for $2 more and you will have the other port for OBD2 data monitoring and logging with a scan tool. I use Dash Command and an ELM 327.

Default Hardwiring up to the rearview mirror tips or pics?

Any tips on pulling the trim to hide the wiring up to the rear view mirror on the F-Type? I'm planning a Valentine 1 install with Savvy and am nervous about braking tabs to get the wires up to the detector. It's a convertible so the long term plan is to use a 3D printer to build a customer housing to hide the radar unit, in case someone beats me to it?
