Default Ravenol oil

Anyone used this oil before ? I was thinking of buying this kit. Car no longer has warranty, so not concerned about the dyed Castrol stuff, if this oil is fine

No idea about that one, but I used this one, with the recommended oil.

I didn't end up using the replacement drain plug that came with the kit, as I used a MityVac. And it's a quart more of oil than you need.

Do you always need to use a replacement drain plug if you loosen it to drain the oil?

Or just if it leaks?

I have a vacuum pump, so no need to take the drain plug out.

The JLR recommendation that if you dump the oil via the drain/sump plug you should fit a new plug is yet another case of overkill.
I have re-used the OEM drain plug several times across the XFS, XFR and F-Type without a single problem. I even have the OEM XFR plug (over eight years old) on the F-Type at the moment, the reason for that is the OEM F-Type plug had a fair bit of silicon sealant on it which was difficult to fully remove so I swapped it out for the perfectly clean XFR plug which I had replaced years ago with a magnetic plug.
They are all the exact same plug and all you need to do is check the thread and the condition and fit of the rubber/plastic sealing ring and if they are perfectly OK you are good to go.
