The REAL SOLUTION Of CarPlay disconnects
My CarPlay often lost connection while I am driving. I did a lot of search on internet. Most people are saying it is cause by using low quality/unauthorized charging cable. So I bought two origin cable from Apple website. Still have the problem.
I found the the disconnection always happen in my phone have low battery level. Then I realize the REAL REASON. It because the jag's USB port does not has sufficient voltage to support the fast charge and CarPlay connection simultaneously.
Apple changed the Charging protocol after the iPhone X, the newest iPhone can be quick charge, which mean it will need bigger voltage.
iPhone will automatically turning into quick charge mode when the battery level drop under a certain percentage which needs a higher voltage to support the charging and CarPlay connection. So when my iPhone turns into low battery, my CarPlay has been always stuck in disconnected and reconnected.
But when the phone got sufficiently charged, the problem will be fixed automatically.
So I found a special two-head USB cable on internet(cost $10)
Two male head to ONE female head. First male head for data transfer(Carplay), another one for auxiliary power supply.
This cable used to design for hard disk/hard drive. You can search on internet "Hard disk data cable with auxiliary power supply"
Make sure you need a two USB male head and one USB female head.
Then connect a normal data table to the USB female head.
Finally the voltage supply was enhanced and the problem got fixed!
If you not sure is the power supply issue, you can test the Carplay connection when your phone in different battery levels. It always running well when your phone fully charged.
It seem I am the first one in this forum to fix this problem, hope it can help you.
