That's a common issue so it's good that you've spotted it early. I had one go at 13,000 miles (after 6 years) in a 2010 XKR.

Marko, I changed mine after 7 years, as I didn’t figure it would last much longer. Past experience has been when they fail, it’s quick - seems to be OK one day, won’t start the car or hold a charge the next. Once I learned that, I started swapping batteries every 5-6 years. Of course, those weren’t $200+ batteries...

If you need me, be patient. I'll be at the local golf course trying to score free golf cart batteries....

So far they are great. No real extra bedding required and I don’t smell them at all. Now I have not yet done a serious stopping but today I took it out on some roads where I need to lay into them a little more and they had good bite and didn’t fade at all. Initially the pedal travel seemed a little more than with the OEM pads but I’m just not sure that wasn’t my imagination based on some of the experiences of others. They seemed to have good bite early and even better bite mid pedal push. I’m going to give them another Hundred miles or so and then do some real serious braking to check them without glazing them. So far so good.

Hi All, first off - love the Battery Reconditioning vid - very funny.
Took my car to a JLR dealer this week for its first PA state inspection and a service, about 120 mile round trip. All went well, pointed out a couple of things that have been referred to on this forum - passenger chrome window trim lifting next to door, rear parcel shelf falls off its posts - fixed with tie wraps. They ordered replacement parts under warrantee - fantastic I didn't have to argue or haggle.
Next day opened up the car and met the Low Battery - Please start the engine message. No way that battery is dead - just drove 120 miles I thought. Tried to call the dealer but went to voicemail. Jumped on the forum and found all the discussions about the Battery Low warning - undid the pos terminal of the battery for 30 secs (had to manually open and close the rear hatch) but after reconnecting the battery it worked again. Went for a lovely drive. Got back turned it off and went back half hour later - all is well, no warnings. Checked again today - no warnings.
So thank you fellow F Type owners - easy fix indeed. I wonder why jag have never fixed the OBD root cause of this issue - oh well.
*Note to those to the non electrical savvy here - its makes no difference which terminal you disconnect from a battery - trust me I am and electronic design engineer
