Absolutely gorgeous... the black top was a great call.
^^^ Makes me happy that we own a 'vert with a black top.

I think proper complementary accents are attractive. Our dark-blue Daily Driver SUV has red pinstriping, red calipers, and red Carbon Fiber accents in its otherwise all-black interior.
In our F-Type's case, I like the silver, black, and 'chrome' shades, including the wheels, the way it came from the factory. The dark gray accessory accents on the front wings (fenders) catch the eyes of many here.
The all-black interior with the factory 'aluminum' accents reinforce the theme, too.

So yeah, BTQ's red accents on the sills definitely get MY approval!
Absolutely gorgeous... the black top was a great call. Nice to see a car with design pack lowered and on nice wheels...
Thank you very much. It actually isnt lowered, it probably looks like it is because the wheels fill out the arches more. The wheels were really a great thing to do, as they are lightweight they made a big improvement to handling (not that it needed it, just takes it up a few notches) and filled the arches better as we cant use spacers where I live. The ride (on the bitchelins we all talk about so much) is pretty much the same as OEM 19's.
to each their own, i don't hate it...but of course i drive a BRG Vert with candy apple red rims...the F-type is not supposed to be a subtle show, its loud, aggressive, and stands out on purpose.
David Meier,
When I was getting bored with the looks of my silver XKR a few years ago, I toyed with doing red louvres as well. I also wanted to do a tiny red pinstripe along the sides of the car to tie it together with the red calipers on black wheels. I actually purchased a set of carbon fibre vents with the supercharged lettering done in red, put them on the car, and one flew off in the first two minutes of driving, and I couldn't find it by the side of the road. My best friend was at the time having a dent fixed on his black BMW, so I took my silver vents over to the shop and asked if while they were spraying my friend's bumper they could spray my vents black as well. I liked the look and they've been there ever since. I like the red on silver idea. Be bold and make it what you want. Also if your front badge isn't red, either purchase a red one or hand paint it like I did.
Thanks for the vote of confidence and the support . Those look great on your car. I have a red badge and the large, red calipers (like you) and the interior so there is a bit of red to play from. Still working through it. I might find some on ebay and play with painting them red keeping my originals if I want to go back.
