I don't know about unlucky colors here, but there is some stigma attached to red cars being "cop magnets". And I seem to recall that the car that is most often involved in a single vehicle accident is a Corvette.

There was a theory in the UK some years back that cops were playing "snooker" with regards to handing out tickets - they'd book a red car (1 point), then a "colour" (yellow(2), green(3), brown(4), blue(5), pink(6)(no many of those?) or black(7)). White cars, being the cue ball, would be safe, except for an "in-off"! Red cars would be far more likely to be targeted, being every other car booked. How true this is, I have no idea, but it'd be an interesting way for cops to while away long shifts!

Actually, the seat inserts are black, but inside the perforated holes is the same tan which give the contrast. Looks even better in person. Hard to capture in pictures. To me there is nothing more classic than a Jag with BRG and Tan.
