Default Remote Start

I'm impatiently awaiting my car to be built and in the meantime doing lots of reading, watching endless videos etc.
So, Remote Start...
Can I accidentally start the car while I'm 200 miles away on my sailboat and connected to the internet?
Is it Bluetooth or Wifi ?
Thanks.

The remote start via the incontrol app first requires you to login then to verify any selection (unlock or start) with a personalised pin code.

So i reckon your chances of doing it by accident are limited

Saying that, even if it is switched on and the app looses connection i think the engine only stays on for a max of 30 mins and the door can stay unlocked for a max of 45 seconds.

App works with internet connectivity so can therefore start from anywhere where there is internet access.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for that. Still a worry that it can be done deliberately. Must remember not to demonstrate the facility while I'm miles away from my car.

The doors receive a lock command before the engine starts. You have little to worry about. Also, after a period of time in standby, I think 5 days, the incontrol radio in the car goes to sleep and cannot be woken remotely.

The car would be under its cover in the garage, that's long enough to start a fire.
I will be very careful with that app!

fair enough but trust me when I saw you can't do it by accident you need to enter a pin number to start it and even if you go in and see the motor on you can remotely turn it off
