I've painted some exhaust systems on previous cars, also with good results. However, if the exhaust is easily removed, for under $200 I had a local shop ceramic coat my F type tips and it seems I get better water spot resistance, easier cleaning overall, and greater durability with the ceramic coating.

As for will it look right on a v-6, I imagine it would look great if your overall scheme is two color -e.g. black pack and emblem blackout or delete. If you have lots of shinny metal and no black pack, not so much.

I have today copied another UK V6 owner and fitted the Velocity system with black ceramic-coated tips. The other owner, Sammy, posted these when he had his done: Link
Velocity had them coated in the US before shipping over to the UK installer.

There's another UK guy that has fitted a Remus system, although this has the polished lip so not fully blacked out: Link

And lastly, I posted a potato-quality pic of my install earlier, but if you're interested in angles not shown in any of these shots, let me know what you're looking for and I'll do what I can! Link

Also, if you search on Instagram for @davidapplebyengineering, they have a shot from underneath of today's install (can't seem to post links to Insta, forum software objects!)
