replacement horn?

replacement horn?
I've noticed that most of the issues/threads about the F type are not.....well, all that serious in nature; i.e. the looks of the key fob, the seat heaters are too warm or the valet scratched the plastic on my steering column. All this is good as I'd much rather read such threads than ones about catastrophic engine failures or transmissions falling out!
...so in the spirit of "first world problems", the horn on the F type seems to be more along the lines of what you'd expect to hear from a Smart Fortwo than a brawny sportscar. Anyone agree? replacements? Maybe something that sounds better from another Jag model? .....or maybe I'm the only one that doesn't like the F type's horn?
Cheers,
Dave

Have a set of these Hellas (not on an F-Type tho) and they are the shizzle.
Don't know what the install would be like on the ftype though. Should hook into the existing horn power wire, run a ground wire from the horn to an appropriate bolt/grounding point. Probably don't need the included relay - I didn't, but prob do need hookup wire and terminals depending on what wiring is already present...

I've always wanted a variable horn where I could press a button and it'd loudly yell things for me. Maybe presets like:
"Get the hell out of the passing lane!"
"That's an awfully nice car to not come with turn signals!"
"Put down the damn phone and drive!"
"Hey, you're cute. What's your phone number?"

I would love to fit a Federal Q from a 1960's American LaFrance fire truck! Now that would scare the crap out of people and then I hit them with the pops, crackles and backfires and they will think they are in a war zone.

Careful with having two scary of a horn! A long long time ago my brother did that on his Nissan NX. We thought it was until until he honked at someone pulling out in the middle an intersection and instead of getting out of the way they just looked terrified and started praying!

Many years ago, a friend of mine gave me an actual (not repro) 1969 Plymouth Road Runner horn for my 1995 Mazda Miata. It sounded exactly like the Looney Tunes Road Runner character. I neglected to remove it when I sold the car. I regret it to this day.
If I ever come across a genuine Road Runner horn again (not a repro), I'm jumping on it & installing it in The Sled. (You can get reproductions on eBay or aftermarket car sites but they don't sound the same. They all sound "beep-beep" & NOT "meep-meep" like the original.)
