Default Replacement Tire Sealant

I just noticed that the Continental Contimobility kit tire sealant that came with my car is way past the expiration date. What options are available to replace it? Ideally I would like something that would fit in the Styrofoam holder. The three I have found thus far are:

1. Continental Contimobility kit
2. Airman tire repair sealant Unibottle - Will this fit the Styrofoam holder?
3. Slime Rescue emergency tire sealant - Will this fit the Styrofoam holder?

On a related note has anyone repaired a tire with the Continental Contimobility kit? Was the TPMS sensor destroyed in the process?

I bought the Airman bottle, fits perfectly. I also bought a tire plug repair kit, for emergencies. Did have a slow leak this past week, and for $8, took the wheel/tire off and to the local indie shop where they plugged it.
Supposedly Airman sealant will not damage TPMS:

I looked at the factory supplied bottle of sealant about a week ago in my 2021 F Type and couldn't find an expiration date anywhere on it. Did I miss something ? What is the normal shelf life of that stuff ?

My original bottle appears to have been good for around four years. My car was built May 2017 and the bottle expired in 2021.

My 2017 car was built late 2016 and had a 2020 expiration. Should go look if the repl. bottle has a date....

OK, So I need to take this further. I checked both of my Jags and the bottles each have an expiration date of 3 years of when the car was built. Shaking both of them they still seemed to be liquified until they were shaken good then solid. So are they still good? Has anyone had the occasion to use one of these past the expiration date? If so, how far past? And did it still work?

Now on to the Airman bottle. Does it have an expiration date ? If so, how long? Does the Airman bottle have the same threads at the neck that will screw down onto the Jaguar compressor? The pictures shows the bottle just having the air hoses connected to it. If not, it's going to be useless unless one purchases their compressor set. Anyone??

Yes, the Airman has an expiration date. Mine was 5 years after I bought it. Same connection. The capacity is slightly different, but the bottle fits in the original spot.

For $25, I opted not to wait until I needed the goo to find out the expiration date meant something. Mine was still liquid when I did the replacement, but that doesn't mean it would seal properly or wouldn't gum up the pump. But, maybe someone will post that they used it years later and it still worked.

I looked at the bottle of the factory supplied sealant again. It is still liquid. The expiration date is found on the label as a little icon of an upturned hourglass and below it mine is marked 04/25. My Jag was built in March of 2021 so that means the shelf life is 4 years. If I remember, when I take the car in for the annual scheduled free maintenance next year I'll see if they will replace the sealant. They replaced the cabin air filter last year without me asking so maybe they will do the same with the tire sealant. If not I'll buy the Airman brand product.

"If I remember, when I take the car in for the annual scheduled free maintenance next year I'll see if they will replace the sealant."

Smart. I'd give odds & point spread they wouldn't think to check it as part of normal service, but I'm sure they'll agree to if you point it out. It will be interesting to see what they have for a replacement and what ITS date is.

As a side note, the 4 years between DOM and Exp you saw on your original bottle might not be the whole story - depending on how long it had been in someone's inventory before the car was built.

My dealer does not check the expiration date on the tire sealant. My bottle expired in 2021 and the car has been in for the (still) free annual maintenance every year since. It was never mentioned.

I purchased my 2018 in late 2019. I had the free five year maintenance that everyone gets. It will be ending soon.

I found another alternative tire sealant that will fit the Styrofoam holder in our cars. Continental also sells their Continental Contimobility sealant under the Ford brand. Ford Part number BCPZ-19554-A appears to be an exact duplicate of the bottle that came with my car.

Default Ford product and Airman

Yes, found the Ford product and it looks like the OE Jaguar bottle, no surprise there, Ford did much good for JLR.
Did further investigation on my Airman Unibottle. It's the same form factor and its lid has a hose that goes to the tire valve. The lid/cap also has a threaded extension. I put a slit in the shrinkwrap to access it and brought out my OE Jaguar compressor. The hose on the compressor screws right on that Airman Cap's extension. So, no tire goo in the JLR hose to clean up. The detail info on Amazon says the Airman goo is good for 125 miles. Now I just need to check the JLR compressor to see if that works.

Just received the Airman bottle from Amazon today. Unfortunately, it is a little taller than the OE Jag bottle (which was 3 years past expiration!) and does not allow the battery cover lid to sit all the way down. I'll have to see if there is any rattling when I next drive the Jag. I might just order the Ford bottle since It's only $14.

There are two different variations of the Airman product on Amazon:
The

Airman 65-005-021 which measures ‎4.3 x 4.3 x 5.8 inches and costs $34.65

and the

AIRMAN Tire Repair Sealant 450ml UNIBOTTLE ‎65-005-003 which measures ‎3.54 x 3.54 x 7.48 inches and costs $24.99

Which one was ordered that was too tall and do either of them work with the existing Jaguar compressor system ? In any case the Ford labeled product is a whole lot cheaper although shipping may bring it up to the equal of the product on Amazon if you get free shipping on that site.

You should be able to order the Ford bottle from your local Ford dealer. You would save on the shipping, but they may not offer a discount on the price.

I ordered the Unibottle 65-005-003. It will work with the Jag compressor but I'm not liking the fitment. I should have measured the old bottle before ordering but saw in a previous post in this thread that it was an exact replacement. Learned my lesson - trust but verify.

I bought the Unibottle 65-005-003 , it fits perfectly in the old spot in the trunk and as I wrote above, connected the hose/line from the OE JLR compressor to the little extension on the Unibottle cap. It's threaded the same as a tire valve The original setup for using the JLR tire sealant was to screw the sealant bottle in the top of the JLR compressor, then connect the hose/line to the tire valve, IIRC, put the car in accessory mode, plug in the pump's power connection and fire away.

With the Unibottle, you connect the tire hose/line from the compressor to the threaded extension on the bottle's cap, then the second hose goes from the Unibottle cap to the tire valve.
