Does anyone know where to get the 8DPK1470 belt other than Velocity? My car has been on the lift and in the bay at the shop for a few days now and I'm not getting any responses on the order I placed earlier in the week w/ rush shipping. Because the car is taking up space I tried looking for an alternative in the same length, rib pattern, etc. to give the shop their bay back. Closest I could find is an 8PK1470 but it's not double-sided. So I'm wondering if anyone was able to find the double-sided version. Much appreciated.

I see from the VAP site that tuning services are closed from 8/1-10 for staff holiday so that may be affecting your order. I've got a double-sided 1461 with about 5200 miles on it if you're interested. I swapped it out when I discovered that VAP changed the specs for my car when the VIN break was updated, and am running a 1438 instead.

I don't know your year and model, but it's of no use to me. It's yours for the cost of shipping should you want it. If so, drop me a PM.

 

I happened to use a crank pulley kit that chose to supply a smooth idler and thus uses a single-sided V belt, which opens up a world of size options. If time's pressing you could consider having the shop swap this idler to a standard smooth idler, then easily procure a perfectly-sized belt.
