Replacing heat exchanger pump
#2
That doesn't look right at all.
On older model Jags there was an electric pump on the heater circuit which was small like the one in your picture. It was quite common for people to accidentally take out the heater pump in confusion thinking it was the supercharger circuit pump.
The supercharger coolant pump is/was the same for all supercharged Jags since the early 2000's, it doesn't look like the one in your picture.
But the heater pump was not fitted to the F-Type, not the early ones anyhow.
What year/model is your car?

Uh huh...
OK I found it.
F-Types up to VIN K10248 were fitted with the little pump seen in your picture, cars after K10249 were fitted with the (older) bigger pump which was used on the XKR (and other models).
Seems to me they wanted to save a few $$'s and later realised this was not a good idea, going back to the bigger pump.
