Default Request for Meridian system diagram

Anyone with a Topix subscription that can post a diagram of 770 Meridian system? Looking for the components, speakers, wiring diagrams, etc. Thanks.

I've based these on the 2016 LHD model from your signature.

The wiring diagrams for 2016 MY are interactive so I would highly recommend subscribing for an hour and having a look at them yourself as you can link off to the connectors and component locations with ease. All the blue text in the PDF is clickable online.

xdave,

You wouldn't happen to have the same for a 2016 S? I'm working on a complete overhaul of the system next Monday 5/9/16. If you do I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you

Smoke Em, the information I can find on TOPIx is the same as above.

There are two different ICE systems fitted to 2016MY cars - the intouch pro (with or without the premium speakers) and the base. All the intouch pro cars are as above. The base will be different, but I cannot locate the wiring diagrams. Can you PM me your VIN and I will check I am looking at the correct range as there are three different manufacturing breaks in the 2016MY.

Thanks for the PM. I've attached the EWD for your VIN range based on the premium sound system option fitted.

Great stuff, Dave. As I feared, it looks like the crossovers are integrated into the amp, which makes it trickier to just replace the speakers.

Exactly. That's why I'm replacing everything. I'm replacing the speakers, the crossovers and amp. Can't wait, it's booked for next Monday and I will get it back Sat 5/14.

@xdave, thanks much. This is very useful. In addition to comments on crossovers, I wonder if the amp is sufficiently isolated from the rear speakers.

If you mean physical isolation, rather than electrical, then unless the build process changed between 2015 and 2016 the amp in the coupes is bolted to a panel just forward and above the rear right wheel which has line of sight to the rear speakers on that side, and no insulation between it and the left hand speakers although not line of sight.

One benefit is that there is loads of space to mount what you want in there. Seriously - you could fit another trunk in the voids in this car. I imagine it would be a good car to crash into a lake with because the huge pockets of air would give good buoyancy while you make your escape.

I've only briefly looked at the schematics, but the amp appears to be a standard MOST amp only (i.e. it does not do other tasks) so it should be really easy to swap out with another that uses MOST or via a bridge + preamp. MB forums are the place to go if you ever want to do that yourself.

Wouldn't you think L and R speakers would be physically isolated from each other and the amp?
