Resale Values

Since this forum has members from several geographically seperate markets, I'm curious to hear what the resale values of the f-type are in markets other than the UK.
Here in the UK, the JLR website provides a trade-in price tool, but then denies all validity on the prices given that the provider has - apparently - no connection with JLR.
Which is good, as the prices it offers are 25% less than JLR Dealerships are currently selling at. £32k vs. £42k for a Base Coupe.
Prep can cost £100s, while JLR sell Extended Warranty for ~£700. But still...
How are prices elsewhere?

KBB says mine is worth $80k with 5500 miles in a private sale, but all the options weren't available to select. Extended leather was the one I thought might bump it a bit. The dealer trade was around 77k. I've never found those numbers to be reliable for trade in, although a newer car may likely be kept and not wholesaled by dealer.
Most cars depreciate 45-55 percent of their msrp after 3 years with standard 12k miles per year. When I was looking at a Penfed balloon loan I recall they estimated somewhere around 52% after 3 years with standard mileage for my car. One of advantages of Porsches is they hold their value better, but also are discounted less. Also, Pickup trucks, Audi S5 (at least last I looked) are some with 55% plus value after 3 years with standard mileage. Jags are not in that range.
I'm second guess my decision to trade in my XF, versus waiting for private sale as dealers give you a wholesale auction number if they don't think they can move the car.

Depreciation is getting worse on most cars. Used car prices have declined by another 4% over last year as a result of a glut of lease terminations spurred by continuing growth of that financing mechanism.

I have couple SLs in my collection, but starting R230 (2003 and on) they are impossible to keep on the road. If I ever get motivated, I will import SL350 that doesn't have ABC to add to my collection, but they only available in some EU countries.

Yes similar to the Audi R8 Magna-ride shocks leaking; usually post warranty. Or Dodge Hellcats with failing superchargers that are $10k-$12k post warranty to replace.
AMGs are cheap used and out of warranty for a reason. If you find a superbly serviced vehicle, driving it only now and then (NOT as a daily driver), and drive it easy .... then you can be driving around many highly depreciated cars like Mr Big shot
.
My buddy is an avid watcher of Mecum auctions and always calls me - 'OMG, a beautiful Bentley sold for $40k!' .... to which I reply, good, because when anything breaks you'll need another $40k to get it back on the road.

How about this one - 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost, New MSRP $380k, now $119k.
You could buy a house with that Depreciation.... or a $229k Breitling analog clock for your Bentley Bentayga.
