Pretty surprising this isn't a standard feature. Makes me a little nervous about what else they may have cut corners on. I haven't bought mine yet. Also

A few people here seemed to have success with a fuel filler cap that locks and fits. Please tell everyone if it works out for you.

Default Fuel door lock

The widow sticker on my 2017 F Type SVR has the wording Power Fuel Flap Locking Type under interior features on the lower left corner. This prompted me to look for it and of course it was non functional as delivered to the US. Look at your window sticker if you have access to it and see if it's the same.

I have now had the Stant 10508 locking cap on for a couple of months with no issues at all. Highly recommended. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a tether but it sits in the groove on the door while you are filling up just like the original cap. What you don't want to do is set the cap on top of the gas pump while you are filling up and then drive off without it. Remember how often we would see that prior to most new cars having gas cap tethers ?

My Stant 10508 has now been on for two years. No issues as of yet.

I would hazard a guess that the majority of US F-Types are not parked on the street overnight and have far less risk of fuel theft than in Europe.
Plus unless potential thieves already knew they could easily access the F-Type fuel filler, they would likely assume an internal fuel cover opening mechanism, as with many other cars.
The bigger risk is that they steal the whole car with fuel intact!!
