With the fires currently raging in the Ventana Wilderness, there's actually talk of canceling or postponing Car Week...although I personally don't see that happening.
There is a petition with 350+ signatures as of this morning so it'll be interesting.
They're saying this might go down as the worst wild fire in the history of the US before it's over, as of this morning 51,000 acres burned, only 27% contained with 57 homes destroyed...full containment isn't expected until September 1st.
I haven't been driving any fun cars...especially my '28 Roadster due to all the ash and smoke and I have a feeling attendance will be drastically down due to the media hoopla.
Visited RM Auction preview: 1955 D-Type that won the 1956 LeMans - estimated to sell for $20 - $25 million. I was amazed to watch three guys each climb into it to see if they fit.
Oh and the blue car behind it is the very first Shelby Cobra...
