Default Rotor Replacement

Sorry, I know it was duscussed before, but with the spacers coming I decided to replace my rotors and pads with some drilled and slotted ones. Can someone tell me the procedure to disengage the rear electric brakes, with my xkr I just put it in neutral and disconnected the battery to reset the pad depth. Thanks in advance.

There is a thread about installing carbon ceramic brakes. In that thread someone posed a procedure to put the parking brake in service mode.

So if I'm reading this correctly there is no way of changing the rear pads and rotors in the maintenance mode or manual caliper release without using the Jaguar approved diagnostic equipment.

In the maintenance mode you can't deactivate it, but they give you a deactivation sequence, and in the manual mode you are not able to recalibrate the epb.

I got the rear pads changed a couple of months ago, and there was no need to put the parking brake in maintenance mode, although that may have made it a fair bit easier to push/wind the brake pistons back in, see this post and #59 after it: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...3/#post1557910

Thanks, I was just worried if the epb automatically engaged when the car was turned off.
