Default Saw this on Craigslist

Anyone looking for am F type might look at this low mileage and low price one. Not associated with the seller, just thought the price and mileage where right.

Agreed, the asking price seems way low for a 2015 R with all the fruit in "flawless" condition with only 4009 miles on the clock.

I will give the seller a call tomorrow and if it turns out to be legit, I'll be very interested.

Saw this ad when it was first posted and sent an email - no response. And I found another ad for an Accord that had the exact same verbiage - so yes, theres a Honda with a "V8, makes a staggering 550 hp"

OK, this is strange...

As well as craigslist @ $46,500

Same car is listed on cars.com for $65,900
https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...0262/overview/

But it is also 'just listed' for $50K at a dealer in NJ with 3500 miles:
https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...9878/overview/

Same VIN# (and pics) for those 2 cars.com listings.

could be the seller got desperate for some reason, sold it on craigslist to the dealer in NJ who hopes to flip it for a few $$$ without ever taking delivery....

I suppose, since its now listed by a dealer at 50K there might be a legit opportunity here... caveat emptor!

This is done ALL the time. On any given day I can find you a few of these just on my local CL, which isn't huge. Scammers take the ad info from a legit site and post on craigslist cheap, and hope they get someone to fall for some variation of "robbing sucker blind".

TBH it's scary to think what happens as a result of some of these ads.....

Absolutely. Happens all the time with cars and real estate rentals.

Want to hold the car? Wire funds here ____________.

Want to rent/lease the property? We need this credit app filled out in full first ____________. Then they steal your identity.

The only time this was real was when a wife sold her husband's Porsche for cheap because she was pissed at him. It held up because he signed off the title and entrusted the sale to her. She acted as his agent. Woman scorned.

My guess is that when you call the owner, he'll tell you the car is actually in Gnome, AK. Send money and he'll deliver the car.

I saw one CL ad where the guy just copied the sample fraud ad that CL wrote up.

It IS a Scam! I actually spoke to the owner back in October 2017. Before I bought a new 2017 R. It was on an ad listed at $74,900, the Real Add... Owner said he had SOLD already. This same car was on multiple sites at many different prices.

I tell you it really is a requirement nowadays to really examine everything put in front of you.

Scammers are getting more clever by the day. For those who battle constant email scams I suggest Mailwasher Pro to scan emails before outlook or other primary program.
