Is this seal an issue?

The seal in this yellow circled area has failed and wants to stay open. I am sure that water gets into the crack during rain or carwash.
Does water that gets in here just drain to the ground or is it going to pool somewhere problematic? (This photo is showing the hatch area on the right side of the car near the tail of the car)
Sorry for a newb question. TIA

Lots of reports of those seals pulling away/lifting, many posts/threads around here on it, it is or at least was a fairly common problem.
Almost all to do with this being the cause of wind noise from the rear, without checking I can't recall any mention of water ingress but that appears possible.
Easily fixed, just glue them back down, I used black silicone RTV sealant on mine many years ago (as a preventative measure, I had no noise or leaks at the time) and those seals have not budged a micron since.

I pulled the seals away from the metal just enough to make sure the area was clean before adhesive application. Also wiped down both surfaces with Isopropyl Alcohol. Needs to dry out thoroughly before adhesive, so moisture is not trapped. I used a contact cement (Welwood), pressed it with a hand and then used Green frog tape to hold it in place while curing (and closed the lid).
