Default seeking advice on black wheel finish

My 2014 F-Type Sv8 (which I bought in June) has black rims that are in excellent condition - only one very small chip, and no road rash. The car has about 8k miles.

The black finish is passable but I would like to improve it. It looks like the DPO used a highly caustic wheel cleaner and there are patches of 'white cloudiness' on the finish.

A picture is attached (sorry it's not an ideal photo), but my question would be: is there anything that can be done with them aside from getting them refinished?

Thanks
Steve

In my opinion they need refinished and while that is being done you'll have an opportunity to repaint your calipers and put on your new "Jaguar" decals.

I agree with this. There is no saving those wheels. Get them powder coated.

A 2014 with 8K?????
You might want to check your (original) tires for cracks and rot.
9 year old rubber can go bad even though the tread is ot worn.

Yes that's correct. I bought it with 8900 km (or about 5400 miles) in May '21. And yes, I thoroughly inspected the tires. They are original, excellent tread and zero cracks. The car was stored in the dark for all but a few weeks each year.

Completely agree with Fireze22 regarding powder coating. I went through same eval when my RS4's wheels had some staining. Had them painted first, which looked OK for about 6 months. Then plumped to have them powder coated which was a much better looking and durable finish.

I would still be concerned with them. Probably OK for street use, but there's no way I would do high speeds with them or anything on a track.
