I have driven both on Georgia mountains, I was much happier with the balance, less understeer, and the ability to go through more gears on the V6S.

I agree that the lighter V6 makes for a better balanced car, but I'm a HP junkie. My last few cars were the Jaguars, two AMG's and four Corvettes, including a Z06 and ZR1. As a plus, my best friend has stopped bragging about his 1970 Chevelle LS6 since I got the R.

Would you consider the V8 RWD 2014-2015 models a good option?

Except for the MT V6S, the V8 RWD cars are the most fun/$. Just my 2 cents. Lots of other valid opinions likely to follow, so we’ll not be too helpful.

Gee, I have more fun than I can safely handle with my V6S....I can get into trouble with this car in a nanosecond. I also like V8 engines for a variety of reasons, but honestly, the V6S is far more than "adequate" in every way (not to mention the well known advantage of "balance" over the V8.

They would be my pick for looks and RWD, but for me the infotainment in that model was a killer. I had that setup in an XF and couldnt stand it. Other people dont mind it though.

i’m one of those that don’t mind the 2015 infotainment system...I was playing around with my newly acquired R and I don’t see the lag that I saw on some of the F-Type YouTube videos. Haven’t tried Nav yet but everything else is quick to the touch. Personally went with the RWD as I see it being more desirable in the future.

Yeah I had the lag in the XF especially with the reverse camera which was probably my biggest bug bear (seemed to take upward of 30 seconds to boot up even after a short stop), but also I found there was too much on the main screen and I would push the wrong thing when I was driving. The XF also had a hard disc setup so you had to save CD's into it which took forever, though I cant remember why that bothered me as I usually use USB anyway and have since converted to spotify, and the newer cars dont have CD slots at all. Does it run spotify?

I suppose this is like a Porsche owner feeling buyer’s remorse for buying a Carrera or Carrera 4 rather than a Carrera S, Carrera 4S, Turbo or Turbo S. LOL.
