SF Bay Area F-Type Meetup/Drive?
#22
I'm down and am on the Peninsula (Redwood City). I used to drive a 911 and the porsche club had a really cool "Fun Run" drive that started in Pacifica at the starbucks, then went south on Hw1 through the new Devil's Slide tunnel --- loud and awesome as hell , down the coast, then up to Skyline on Hw 84, then back north and down to Woodside. Sometimes there was a stop at Alices for lunch. Super fun and beautiful drive.
They split into regular and "spirited" pace groups
Everyone drove with the hazards on so it looked really cool.
Some people brought radios to stay in touch.
Would LOVE to do that drive in the Ftype with you all.

Well, I guess the next step is to figure out where and when. Voting by radio buttons? I don't know if there are available on this forum. I'm ready to put my suggestion out for a vote. For example, Saturday, Aug 22, meet at San Anselmo Starbucks, go up SFD to Pt Reyes, onwards to the Doghouse in Bodega Bay. Im good for almost anything mentioned above.

Yes, Monterey could be cool! But super packed I'm sure and probably would be better as an overnight? I bet lodging will be insanely expensive, so we can all crash at Buick's house, right??
Up & over 84 (Woodside Rd) would be a good run too. Then either left or right when we hit 1. Alice's is the first place I thought of, but a small parking lot and always packed...

Dont mean to thread jack, but since all us Bay Area guys are in one thread here and there isnt a local Cali forum...oh and i plan to join this cruise when it happens...😁
Do you mind me asking where you all go for performance installs on your F-types? It seems rare for f-type or modern Jag tuner shops in the Bay.
thx

Johncy2000 said he got his upper pulley replaced at Elite Auto Films in San Jose. He said talk to Goshan and tell him Johncy sent you. I am going to reach out to see if they can put on both my pulleys. I've just been waiting to sort out the other random issues on my car.

Interested in doing a meet/drive as well.
I have a small driving group in Sac, y'all are welcome to join me here for drives that usually start at 8am and finish at 11, with an optional no-host lunch afterwards. Foothill roads, the occasional tunnel blast, usually around 120 miles per run... PM me if you want to be added to my very informal (text message!) contact list when something's going on...

I can do either the weekend of the 12th or the 26th. Definitely driving down on the 18th for Car week and to check out Exotics on Cannery Row
