Event: Spring 2015 Bay Area F-Type Drive
Date: Saturday, March 21, 10 AM
Start: Woodside, CA (2969 Woodside Rd Woodside, CA 94062 - Across from the Chevron)
Finish: Half Moon Bay, CA (523 Church St Half Moon Bay, CA 94019 - Cafe Capistrano Patio Lunch)
Itinerary: Meet at 10 AM at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage 2969 Woodside Road, Woodside, CA 94062. There's a Chevron across the street so we can fill up while we wait for everybody to arrive.
Depart at 10:30 AM to Half Moon Bay via Highway 84 then Highway 1. Google Maps say it's 36 miles, about 1 hour drive. Time really depends on traffic but we should be early enough to avoid most traffic. Should get to Cafe Capistrano in HMB at 12pm for lunch. Bring some cash, they don't split up bills.
Pit Stops: 2 pit stops along the way. La Honda Fire Station/Market (break) then Highway 84/Highway 1 junction (regroup). Full Route: https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8680/...92221fff_k.jpg

It'll be interesting to see what the color distribution is this time. JCis149 Le Mans Blue will probably win most eye catching. Hopefully we'll get a better group photo with a cleaner background. I'm going to see if the La Honda fire department will let us take a photo in front of their station. Seems like a large spot and will be nice background.

Hey Shift that would be awesome. The dealer gave nothing so a hat with a leaper on it or something would be terrific. Thanks for setting this up.

Tar. You bought from BMCD? I got a Saks voucher for a cashmere sweater (from the saks range only). Not really my style but it was something. you should ask Mario/Stefan to cough up!

Yup, local San Jose dealer. Never even got a letter from Jaguar North America. I have a few things like a coat and a JCNA hat but I had to purchase those. Kinda sucks...I even had to purchase my leaper key chain. I am really shocked that I received nothing from Jag. My Brother has a 2014 911 and he got all kinds of stuff including a welcome and thank you letter. If Mario or Stephan are gonna be on a drive maybe you could introduce me and I'll work em over. LMAO
Thanks alexg
Thanks alexg

Just got back from a "recon" drive of our route. Beautiful weather (high 70s). Took me a little over an hour, mostly because there was a old MB that was driving 10 MPH below the speed limit. Roads are in good shape. For those who haven't driven 84/1 I know you will really enjoy it. First half of 84 is just 2nd/3rd gear. Then it opens up to 3rd/4th and the scenery is gorgeous. And once we make it onto Highway 1 the scenery just gets even better with the Pacific to our left. Can't wait to hear 16+ F-Types growling, popping, crackling!
