Spring is here! Weather is a little cooler than forecasted but NO RAIN so no problem. Can't wait to here 16+ F-Types in 2nd gear cruising through La Honda. Please remember to bring some cash for lunch (they're not going to like splitting the bill 20 ways!). See you guys soon.
Shift. Thanks for setting this up. Keep me posted on other drives. Had a good time. Could not really push it with the wife there. Next time I want to chase Golin. Great meeting you and all the forum members. Best

Just got back (from dog park!) What a day. Thanks everybody for coming out. Weather wasn't great at 9:30 but by 10:30 was perfect. Underestimated how much space is required for a 15(?) car group photo. Next time we should stop by that fruit stand on Highway 1, that place looked like it would have been good for a group photo. Awesome we didn't run into much traffic on 84.
We'll see how the videos turn out. And hopefully the photog got some good photos. There was some miscommunication (no cell service) so we weren't able to coordinate spacing everybody out but hopefully he still got in a few good photos. Here's a preview.
Post any photos you have. Would love to use them in a recap video.
Was an awesome day guys, really nice weather after a little morning fog and I love the way you called ahead and had the road cleared for us T...sheesh,it was like we almost had it all to ourselves...well almost...damn pack of bikers hogging up almost the entire lane.
And besides winning a beautiful Cross Jaguar pen,I started the day with 1759 miles and managed to pull into my driveway with exactly 2000 miles for a total of 241 excellent miles behind the wheel...bravo indeed! Still amazed at all the people who actually pull over when they see me in the mirror...it's got to be the J-blades because I've had a black 'vert in my mirrors and with the bright white LED's,it does look fierce.
My pictures are really more of the same, but I'll post some good ones. We really need to do the next event where we can enjoy a short drive but also to spend more time getting to chat with everyone, today's time was too short. Maybe the next time we do something at Canepa's...what do you think T? And you're more than welcome man, I for one really appreciate all you do, so it was the least I could do...real cute dog too, post up some pictures of Cassie so everyone can see...

Nice meeting you Tom,your car is beautiful,I believe that's the first time I've seen Lunar Grey.
Very nice to finally meet you Rob and see your car, sorry I missed chatting with everyone else.
Oh...one last picture. I started throwing some serious revs to it on the way home, woo hoo!

Great pics, but that C-Type leaves me speechless, other than to say, "UNBELIEVABLY STUNNING!"
Buick, ya gotta get that American muscle car-speak out of your system if you're going to play with this crowd. It's "French Racing Blue" in JagU-ar-speak. It's just like an OEM color offered on the XFR-S. In pictures, that looks like an amazing wrap job, and the color looks great on the car. I'd love to see the F-Type offered in FRB.
Shift, don't feel too sorry for some of us. Yesterday, it snowed early, then rained later in the day and washed all the salt and snow away. Today it was nearly 60ºF and sunny, and I had the top down for a great cruise.
Still waiting for the rest of the videos/photos to get uploaded but here's a first take. Hope you guys like it. The problem w/ single lane roads is not too many side shots but did get some near HMB.
T, thanks again for leading the effort to assemble another great F-Type group drive. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to everyone again from the previous drive, as well as the new F-Type owners who participated today.
I hit some rain/heavy marine layer as I drove past SF airport on the way in and thought the drive might be a wet one. Miraculously the sun came out just before we departed and it was top down for the whole drive on dry roads. Great fun and the poor bicyclists we encountered will probably need hearing checks after our group passed though.
I have to say that this was the hardest I have gotten to push my car so far. The F-Type was built for the route we took and it was a spirited drive. The car was just amazing and got better the harder I pushed it. My stability control was at the limit on quite a few of the turns and I could feel the tires wanting to break loose. The road required a lot of concentration and I was amazed at the speeds we were able to obtain through the turns.
Real cool pictures Jay,nice chatting with you again.
You could see how far back I was hanging from you in that video T,I already had one pebble attack my windshield from your sticky tires so I was trying to avoid more, lol.
Greats photos again Jay! This is the money shot. I'm jealous of you guys in the back. Must have been a very cool sight to see 10+ F-Types cruising in front. Next time I need to put one of my GoPros on a mid/back pack car to get some footage.
Some random thoughts about planning for a next drive + lunch (Summer 2015 ?) while having the morning coffee:
- Better meeting spot. It was cool to be right next to the road but a larger parking lot would have been better to allow us to park in a tighter pack (easier to check out each other's cars). Also allow us to take some better photos before the drive (get in some cool formations).
- Meeting spot with a closer breakfast/coffee place. Would allow us to come, relax, chat, grab some coffee, pastries, etc. Thanks for the banana Rob!
- Mount my cameras on a mid and back pack car to get some more video footage.
- Combine single lane backroads (like Highway 84) with multi-lane freeway (like 280) for some better footage. Imagine 15+ F-Types all cruising down 280 taking over 4 lanes.
- Better pit spot location. Really wanted a nice group photo but we need a much larger space than La Honda Fire Station/Market.
- Better lunch location. My food was pretty good, but I felt the service was really rushed. Granted, looks like they might have been overwhelmed by 20 people in addition to their regular patrons. I also thought the patio would be much bigger/nicer (like it was at Half Moon Bay Brewing company).
