Should be in here. Not a 20 specifically, but should be basically the same.

Thanks. Removed the four bolts before shown in the drawing. You can lift the front of the surround and it will slide forward maybe 1/4 inch, but the rear will not turn loose. I tried pulling up and prying a little but it was getting to the point I was concerned about breaking something. Anyone else have detailed instruction on getting the rear of the surround to come up?

Is it on page 13 of DC’s instruction link you are referring to? As those front clips can only be access once the whole piece is removed they must be just push to clip in panel clips. Try wiggling side to side when applying some force. Any room to fit a plastic pry tool in there? Should eventually pop off

oops -I think I’m looking at the wrong part so ignore

Page 69 I presume. Have not done this myself but instructions do show some blue of the surround you want to remove visible on the sides of the central console. Maybe check that those are not push in to release clips

Thats the leather surround that goes around the shifter surround. The part I speak of is the gloss black surround around the shifter.

You’ve taken that off before with your prior subwoofer controller install didn’t you ? It just pops off by prying in the seam of the leather join just infront of the cup holders. Pry tool only needs in engage 2-3mm and not deeper as then it snags on a lip underneath and won’t give. I doubt it has changed with new later year models

No, I removed the silver surround that attaches to the black surround which is a different piece. The silver surround only has the start button and power point attached to it where I installed the previous controller.

Again, I have no issue removing the surround that holds the start button or power point. That piece is attached to the gloss back piece that the shifter protrudes thru and has eco, active exhaust buttons, parking brake etc...mounted to it which I am trying to remove.

Ok, finally got the assembly out. After you take out the two bolts on each side that hold the black shifter surround in place, use a screw driver down low, the same area where you removed the screws on each side and stick thru the plastic sides and pry the assembly thru those holes upward. Requires alot more force to get it to pop up than lifting the front and pulling upwards from the top.
