Not really. It’s a thin sheet of canvas stretched across the top of the windshields.

This is not intended to be a daily driver. The literature we were provided clearly state for dry conditions only. The tires are not intended for wet surfaces.
Target customers for Project 7 are performance car enthusiasts with a passion for all things automotive. They enjoy and are often involved in motorsport and track events and are car collectors. With the focus of Project 7 on lightweight minimalist specification with a design that is intended to be driven with the roof off in the open air, it will appeal to a core group of enthusiasts who have the financial flexibility to indulge their passion for sports cars. As a vehicle with limited daily-driver capability due to the removable top, its customers will have a fleet of vehicles at their disposal but Project 7 is sure to become a favorite in their collection.
The target customer is more likely to use the car at rallies, special events and on the track, and the car is developed to perform in these situations, delivering thrilling performance.
*Note: Despite the fact that the ContiForceContact tire is a road-legal tire, it is optimized for usage on the race track. Due to the very sporty design with reduced tread depth and a compound based on dry handling, Continental recommends driving carefully and attentively, especially on wet surfaces. Vehicle stability is reduced in wet conditions, increasing the risk of an accident (e.g., aquaplaning).

That car probably is BRG and the seller simply doesn't know it and/or is embellishing the advert. (And yes, BRG did cost $10K extra, as did a couple of other colours.)

As an owner, the top is for emergency use only. It will not keep the rain out, will only keep you reasonably dry enough to get home. Then you get out the microfibers to dry off the leather. Washing the car is a challenge, even using a light misting of water, everything inside gets wet.

I am very surprised that Brian Johnson of AC/DC is selling his Jaguar P7. He has a very deep history with Jaguar. He works almost hand in hand with Ian Callum. He literally is the marketing dept for Jaguar. My hunch/ fantasy is that Brian has been made aware of the Project 9.

Word from JLR is they can get a 0-60 in 1.9 seconds on the unannounced i-Pace SVR, and may have to back it off a bit.
