I forgot to add, a pro tip for those who tape their plate straight onto the boot (trunk in Murican) like I do.
The boot is slightly curved but the plate is not, so gently bend the plate to shape before you stick it on.
At least here in South Oz the plates are made of aloooooominum and they bend real easy, so bend a little then place/test then rinse and repeat until you have the curve just right.
That’s adding insult to injury approx. Tell you what. I’ll give you the same “deal” I gave DJS. Come to Maine and I’ll take it off for you. Bring Tina and I’ll take it off for her too. Two for one.
And before someone jumps at the bit - DJS - the only thing I’m taking off is the license plate frame! Where’s your mind at?
I was going to ask if I needed to bring some music and singles.
I was going to ask if I needed to bring some music and singles.
I have more music than you can ever desire (with an extremely limited supply of heavy metal, which I think might be your preference).
Singles? As in:
Single Songs? I prefer entire albums.
Single Malt Scotch? I’m not a Scotch drinker, but if you insist.
Single Women? I love the idea but I am happily married. There are, however, a number of single F-Type owners I know.
Kraft Singles? I don’t even know why I know there is such a thing but I’d never! It’s real genuine, preferably English, Cheddar Cheese for me. Maine has several phenomenal cheese makers and cheesemongers (one friend owns an amazing Cheese shop, with it’s own Cheese Cave, in Scarborough called The Cheese Iron. I wish I would find the time to take all Wild Blueberry Blasters there but I just don’t have it. https://www.thecheeseiron.com
And while I do not possess the mechanical prowess or tools of the trade like an Unhingd, I have everything I need to remove your license plate frame as DJS will attest.

Don't play coy, you knew what I meant (you did say you'd take it off for me).
And while I am mostly a heavy metal girl, I do appreciate other genres (I love classical, big band, most things from 40s through the 80s). I'm not a country fan or much of a hip hop fan, but most other things I can listen to.

I had this plate for my C7 Z06 and then transferred it to my Challenger Hellcat. So, with the purchase of my new '018 F type R, I installed this same plate.....now my sons are ******* me about this plate and I agree. New one on order, " 9 L1VES". Your kids really do know what's right, ya know!
My plate came in this weekend and as soon as I get my car back from the dealer (hopefully tomorrow) I'll put it on and get a picture. No frame. The vanity plates are actually the better version of our plates and not so busy. For now I'm attaching the old one so you can see the busy/ugly tag and as soon as I get the new one on, I'll get a picture of the whole rear and post it. I took this picture for the tag number for the tag reader in the parking deck here at the office.
Too much going on!

Yikes! That is one crazy busy plate - between the [mismosh] graphics and the letters and numbers - which IMO does indeed detract from the splendid looks and lines of the F-Type. To each his or her own but I prefer to espouse a look of simplicity when it comes to...well...many things, including my license plate(s). My F-Type has 3 numbers - which are incredibly meaningful to me - and 2 letters. Done! The best news is they were State issued (no extra cost) and a stroke of RickyJay52 luck.

OK, now you have us curious so to what your non-personalized plate is...

Luckily I was happy to see that the vanity plates are the more simple design like we had before that - plain with just a peach in the middle. Fingers crossed that I get my baby back today so I can put the plate on and get a picture. Why yes, I am carrying my new plate around in my loaner so that I'm ready to make the switch the second I can!
Better, but why is it sticking out so far at the bottom?
Assuming it's just angled that way as a result of the top two mounting screws you can fix the gap (and possible rattle!) by taking the plate off and putting a thin strip of double sided tape along the bottom of it, then pressing it back in place.
Better yet, just tape it all round and ditch the screws!
