Default Side Sills & Rear Valence wrapped in Black

Had the sills and rear diffuser wrapped. To my eye, this restores the lines on the R pretty well. Looks a bit more svelte this way.

Mine came that way - black but not wrapped.
I thought black was the OEM default color?

Body color front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser was usually an option on most cars. The default base configuration was black.

Black was standard 2015 and before, later models changed to body color standard.

Black trims makes the car more trimmed (no pun intended) and sleek, i wouldn’t have it any other way, but there are a lot of fans for the body colored option too, to each their own.

Hmmm, I was on the fence on this. Not any more, definitely a plus move. BTW, did you buy your F from Malloy in Albuquerque? I know the guy that used to sell there for a good while, Edwin.

Thanks. I looked nationwide for my R; bought this example out of Atlanta. Many to choose from right now, all pretty well priced. Combination of price/mileage/service history was the deciding factor. This one has the cooling pipe upgrades already done. There's one local 2014 base convertible for an absolutely killer price ($19.5k; 89,000 miles). I test drove that one, and it was in very nice condition.

New Mexico has one of the best looking license plates in the country in my opinion!

That turquoise design won the best license plate award the year it came out. (yes, apparently there's an organization that awards such a thing. Who knew?)

Definitely slims it down. It was the first thing I did to mine when I got the car back in 2016 (though I left 10mm of body colour at the edge of the sills), the wrap is still holding up fine.
