Finally springing my car from the gulag on Saturday. I think the snow in my yard may be gone by then; should be less snowmelt running onto the roads. I'm hoping we get some good rain before then to wash away some of the sand.

wow your roads are still sandy/salted? our potholes are atrocious but at least the roads have been clear for a few weeks.

There's still snow to melt. We had black ice a couple of weeks ago and they sanded again - on warm days, tons of snowmelt would run onto the roads, then freeze overnight. Might even get a bit of snow Wed night - oh joy.

Tell me about it! I'm with you, Maine's been no picnic....although that hasn't stopped me from driving my F-Type countless times over the last month and logged far more miles this winter than I originally thought possible. 2,000 and counting since mid-Oct.


I do not expect to see my full lawn before at least a month from now, that's how much snow remains in my neck of the woods (somewhat literally and figuratively).

Then I'd have to dodge earthquakes, mudslides, wildfires, droughts, plagues of locusts...
