Which means you definitely should change the oil at least once every six months if not once every four months, and I would lean towards once every three months (or roughly every 6k miles based on your annual mileage).
The specified interval of 16k miles or 12 months whichever comes first is a sick joke.
Get yourself an extraction/vacuum pump and DIY for a fraction of the price a dealership would charge, plenty of threads and posts around here about this.
If you did go to an oil change once every three or four months you would not need to change the oil filter every time, every second time would be OK.
Get yourself a cap style filter removal tool, again plenty of posts and threads around here about this.

The oil change
Although I had enough old BCs to be fine with doing standard, from underneath oil changes, the F was a new experience. After checking out several YT videos, I decided I liked this one the best:
the Mityvac's 8mm tube fits right over the 'straw' in the oil filler opening. Protect the oil filter area with paper towels to prevent drips.
Have been running the LiquiMoly since mid april 2024. For my MY2017 V6/manual trans, the MPG is supposed to top out at 23. I don't use the auto stop/start and switch it off when starting the car. I have been routinely registering 26-29 mpg. While I don't throw the car around, I'm not adverse to mashing the pedal as needed.
Make sure to check your oil level prior to extraction, record it and then put exactly the same amount back in. It's a place to start. Then you can add or extract as needed.
No messy oil catch pans or oil running down your arm from sump. LOVE IT!!!
