Small Tear in Convertible Top - Ideas on how to repair

I would tape off the area and then brush this onto the abrasion and then dust some sort of black fiber into it. I've used this stuff to glue a couple of things and it's incredibly strong/flixible and would almost certainly help tp prevent any threads from unraveling. Be warned though, it's super messy and takes at least a day to dry.
