I have just replaced my tail lights with the new smoked version. My car is white and in my opinion the contrast enhances the appearance. In order to access the light units it is necessary to drop the rear bumper.

Thanks Frank, I just bought a set, now to wait a couple of weeks for shipping from the US and then figure out if I have the skills and cojones to fit them myself or take them to a pro shop for fitting!

I prefer the smoked lights especially on a red car. It provide some contrast and allows the unique shape of the lights to show.

Lamin - X Tinted Tail Light Covers. While this is the lightest tint, it turns out to be pretty dark.

Did you DYI or have a tint/wrap pro do it? If DYI, any tips?

Default Lamin - X Tinted Tail Light Covers

I did put the tail light covers by myself and took about 30 min.

The installation was pretty straight forward following the provided instruction. Using a hair dryer will help to put the film over the sharp concaved surrounding area of the stop light section.

Warmer weather/temperature will certainly make it easier for the installation.

Were the tint pieces pre-cut to match the shape of your lights? I wonder how easy it is to remove if needed.

They are pre-cut in the shape of the tail lights.

I do not know how easy to remove them as I have not yet done so. Their website includes an instruction of how to remove the films.

Good eye.

Those are Quicksilver.

While OEM pipes sound great, QS's exhaust note is so addictive with more syncopated pops and crackles.

+1 on the LaminX, but they are still a bit 'Orange Peel' finish at the moment....

Before....

After, with lowest tint.

Hi Tel, I like what you did with the exhaust tips. Is that a coating (ceramic or such) or just spray paint? Did you diy?

Can't help but laugh!
The English idiom is "taking the ****", not "taking a ****", two entirely different things!

I'm not extracting the urine at all! High temp h at shrink 110mm unshrunk.
I wanted to see what the tailpipes looked like in satin black without painting or coating them. This seemed like a temporary solution to see if I could live with the black theme, which I can, and being lazy it's staying on until it falls off!

I'm off for a pi$$ !
