Wanted to see if any Socal members here have attempted the SSM73060 audio update fix? The 2 closest dealers to me are both A$$h0les and I'm wondering if one or two of you have worked with a complying dealer who's a bit more accommodating at performing this. TIA!

 

yes, got mine fixed last week. Dealer should fix it with no problem.

 

You mind letting me know which dealer you went to?

 

San Diego, service advisor is Jeremy. Any dealer should be able to update the software for you as it came from corporate.

My system has never buzzed, but the sound depth is not much better than a cheap boom box (underwhelming midrange). Is there any chance this software upgrade would address that issue?

 

I assume that because it has NAS in the title it is for North America only then?


I also, have never heard any buzzing...it just sounds like a cheap Chinese ebay stereo ;-)

 

+1. Mine generally doesn't sound terrible, but it doesn't sound good. Unfortunately for me, the quoted bulletin doesn't apply to me - car is prior to 2015, VIN is too low, not a coupe.
