Frank here, my16 f type s, a question on the software upgrades, can you request that the upgrades do not change the exhaust notes? My jag had 30k and service history from Huntington and Glen cove jaguar. Does jaguar record on carfax all software upgrades? I’ve seen on the forum that the upgrade changes the exhaust note to a more muted tone. Is this only in the UK or does this effect us also. I took my daughter on a foliage drive and she absolutely loves this jag, couldn’t believe how fast it is and how quickly it reached 90+, she was very impressed.

After MY 2016 F-Types are quieter under 4000 RPM due to software changes. If you upgrade the software on a pre-2017 car it will become significantly quieter unless they apply the JLR patch. As I understand it, the patch is specific to certain Vin ranges so it might not work.

Your best bet would be to replace the Affected O2 sensor yourself and use an OBD scanner to clear the code.

Oh. So the work was denied under warranty anyway.
The error code is P0062. O2 Sensor heater circuit.
Is this the same problem? I think I will attempt to fix it myself, if it's just as simple as changing an O2 sensor.
My concern is that the code shows up three times on my reader, as "generic stored", "generic pending", and "generic permanent". I don't know what "generic permanent" means.
