Same thinking. That first one is a travesty. The matte black one with the nice interactive slider shows exactly why I dislike matte black, it looks like an unfinished paint job with just primer. Always has, always will.

The only color, or wrap, I'd like to see somebody do an F-Type in is a yellow, since it's not a color offered by Jaguar.
My 911 was Speed Yellow, and I really liked that color. Not all cars look good in a yellow, and I'm curious if the F-Type would. I think it would, but never know until seen in person.
A wrap would be the closest to finding out. But, it would have to be a non-flat/matte finish. Those flat or matte finishes do nothing for me.
EDIT: Wow, seek and ye shall find. I started searching for yellow F-Types and found a thread on this board about somebody who painted one:

I like the car in yellow, at least from that angle (I'd like to see the rear also) but just not in that matte finish. I don't get the current fashion of matte finishes - to each his own, I guess.

Our F-Types totally stand on their own without any embellishments or additions of any kind. In whatever color or configuration it has loads of, I would suggest tasteful, "look at me now" qualities and any of those wraps simply magnify that to levels I personally have ZERO interest in.
Of course and with everything else, to each his/her own. The only opinion which really matters is your own.

I will say they are all interesting (and that doesn't mean I like any of them) although I have no interest whatsoever.

wrap thoughts
A good wrap is around $3,400. I've seen the Tron wrap in person and it looks good on cars with sharp angles and lines. I think the flowing lines on our cars would be problematic. I'd have them do a rendering first (agree our wrapped cars look better than most of these though I did like the satin black, and didn't hate the gold or the flag). My wrap was $4,200 but that is because it was dual layer making it look more like paint.

Here's a shot of the rear, the original image is gone so I could only get a tiny thumbnail.
