something stuck in the seat belt buckle
the other day a small piece of plastic got stuck in my seat belt buckle and now it wont latch. I have looked down in it and apparently it has gone far enough down that i cant see it. my question is two fold,
1- does anyone have any experience with this issue?
2- can the buckle be disassembled to remove the offending foreign object?
3- if the buckle is removed from the vehicle to be repaired does that require some form of re-programing to the electronics?
thanks

Not sure about the F-Type latch but had a similar problem with my Nissan CUV in a back passenger seat belt buckle latch with candy wrapper wedged inside. The latch is made not to be easily taken apart, I guess due to safety reasons. I ended up breaking up the wrapper and removing what I could with tweezers to make it work.
The extreme option would be replacing the latch.

thanks all, tried the compressed air.....no go.
the Jag delear wants $450.00 for a new latch; however that is the installed price.......such a deal. the latch on-line is about $175 so i guess I'll change it out. moved the seat forward today and with such a tight space I cant tell if it is connected to the body or the seat frame. the latch appears to move with the seat so I would assume the later. In either case it appears as if the seat will have to come out.

Since your worst case scenario is already replacing it you might as well try to open up the plastic case. There are two small torx security screw on the back(the ones with the dimple sticking up in the middle) that can be removed to get access. You don’t have to remove it from the seat either. If you bugger things up you haven’t lost anything. Should be simple getting whatever is stuck out of there once the plastic cover is off
