Yes...but only if there was a load connected to those leads. (saying this to an EE, of course )

The car could be considered to be "a load".

I assumed the sparks came when the ground wire was loosened from the car. I’m sure the car draws quite a bit when the battery is reconnected.

MY2015 vintage will go down in history for a year that produced the sportiest F-Type made, but also for the year where there were no dodgy Meriden rattles, crap diffs or any of the other issues that subsequent years seem to suffer with.

Mark my words... It will be the collectible one to have, not that I'm biased in any way, shape or form 😉
